So today I headed out to meet a fellow who had a cage for James...an hour and a half of driving to find out the bar spacing was "about 1/2" " and not really that small... it was a cockatiel cage drats the guy tried to convince me it would be fine, parrots aren't that smart, he wouldn't be able to get out :cen: I said thanks but I've got a cage with this bar spacing and need 1/2" without a doubt as I'd already seen him trying to poke his head out.... I drove aimlessly for a bit, a little depressed about not having a cage yet. I was also getting desperate for a new one with smaller bars so he could spend more time in the living room and I didn't have to worry about the cats paws fitting in there... :scared: I made my way to a big box pet store and happen to find the same cage I have now but with 1/2" spacing AND the guy there who was helping me has parrotlets too so he knew exactly what I meant when I said the current cage was a tad to big and he knew what I needed. I ended up with the same cage but the smaller bar space and he gave me a few tips and advice for socializing James so I could handle him a little easier. So now James has new digs, a few new perches and MUCH to my suprise he is already on the rope perch that I just put in there 10min ago! I was tricking him in to going on it with millet that fell out of the clip drats but he's still on the perch anyway.

Here's his new cage, more perches and more seed cups (which he has to get used to).

That's a great cage and I'm glad you didn't allow that other man to talk you into that other cage.
