My mom tried the same thing with me, I could handle the peas because I drank milk and swallowed them like pills, But when it came to spinach oh yuck I couldn't handle that. Now I love both but as a kid it was awful.
LOL, me too. Whatever food I did not l like, I had no choice, I was forced to eat it. So I would swollow anything I did not like whole. I would cut it up into small enough pieces and swollow it whole.

I thought it would be interesting to compare that mix to Volkman Parrotlet Super - Here's the Volkman ingredients

Safflower seed, white proso millet, oat groats, small cracked corn, buckwheat, Fruit Medley, canary grass seed, small black oil sunflower, sunflower chips, green peas, carrot dices, peanut dices, vitamized oat groats, (orange) fruit blend, peppers, hemp seed, spinach flakes, orange oil and safflower oil.

and the Alta Loma seed mix:

White Proso Millet, Canary Grass Seed, Red Proso Millet, Oat Groats, Black Oil Sunflower Seed, Safflower Seed, Buckwheat, Flax Seed, Carrot Dices, Green Peas, Kibbled Corn, Red Bell Peppers, Spinach Flakes, Apples, Apricots, Bananas, Coconut, Cherries, Golden Raisins, Pineapple, Papaya, Mango & Raisins.

Hmmm....there's much more safflower in the Volkman's mix. The Alta Loma looks like it has more dried fruit and veg.

Great idea, Laura! I just receive the Alta Loma mix, FAST shipping. George loves it. I've been offering fresh fruits and vegetables daily, but he barely touches them. Maybe he will in time, he has just started eating the Harrison crumbles.

Looks like they are both really good mixes.

They do look like good mixes and as I said with all the other goodies we give our birds they are very healthy.
